Storage tanks
Wide variety of LNG satellite plants, enabling Natural Gas use at off pipeline locations. Using a modular design and standard components the terminals can be designed to exactly fit your needs in terms of storage capacity and flow demand. Storage Capacity.
LNG is stored in either standard VT-LNG storage tanks, sizes ranging from 2.000 to 60.000 liters or in customized engineering tanks, going up to 680.000 liters gross volume. Both, standard and engineering vacuum insulated tanks can be vertical or horizontal. All tanks are insulated using high vacuum and perlite. Bigger installations can be done by using more tanks, or with Flat Bottom Tanks, where LNG is stored at near to atmospheric pressure. Flat Bottom Tanks can have a gross capacity up to 3.000.000 liters.
Working Pressure
Maximum allowable working pressure can be up to 19 barg for standard tanks Most applications need lower operating pressures. The basic version of the standard tanks is offered with MAWP 12,6 barg.
Vaporizers
We offer both ambient vaporizers and water bath vaporizers. The ambient vaporizers are of the Aluminium star-fin type, as in the picture. These vaporizers do not need any added energy.
Water bath vaporizers can be heated by natural gas or any other available heat source.
We will design and sizes the vaporizers so that the pressure, flow and temperature of the outgoing gas can be guaranteed to the customer’s specification.
Interconnecting Pipe
Can be classical foam insulated or Vacuum Jacketed pipe. Vacuum Jacketed Pipe can be used where pressure and temperature of the LNG needs to be limited as much as possible, e.g. when the LNG is used as engine fuel. Vacuum Jacketed Pipe consists of double walled stainless steeled piping where the combination of super insulation and a high level of vacuum ensures maximum heat insulation.
